A Hint of Mint
When Pantone named emerald the color of the year, I knew I was in trouble. Not only is green my favorite color, but it means that just about every time I turn around there is a beautiful shade of green or blue calling my name when I shop! Lately I’ve been dying over the beautiful mint shades I’ve spotted in stores, combined with navy blue. It’s really a beautiful combination. Here’s my mint & navy outfit – and it’s appropriate for work and perfect for spring!
While shopping a few weekends ago, I stumbled upon this Vince Camuto skirt. I stayed strong and didn’t purchase the item, knowing I had mint and navy seperates at home that I could use to create a similar feel. I love taking a colorful pencil skirt and styling it with a basic blouse and sweater to create a work-appropriate outfit but still being able to have fun with my wardrobe even in a corporate environment. Last fall I did a similar look with a pink skirt.
I’m all about shopping at Nordstrom, but believe it or not, the only thing I’m wearing from Nordstrom in this outfit are the shoes! You never know what you’ll find if you shop around – my blouse and skirt both came from JCPenny and together, were less than $50!
