Rainy Days

Spring wouldn’t be spring in Washington without rain, and I wouldn’t be me without a shopping splurge every now and again. I totally can’t be trusted in the mall alone, and this new rain jacket is proof. In true Kate fashion, I hadn’t gone to the mall with the intention of buying anything, let alone a new Lululemon jacket, but then when I saw it, I knew I had to have it! And to be honest, I’ve worn it everyday since I bought it, so it was clearly a good investment!

There are so many great multi-functional rain jackets out right now and I tried all of them on at Lululemon. I settled on the Four the Helluvit Jacket, which is one jacket that can be worn 4 different ways (the outer shell, the inner liner, the inner liner reversed, and all together for extra warmth). The mid-length high-low hem with scalloped ruffles on the hem is truly what did it for me. It’s feminine and flirty, dressy enough for the office, but durable enough for the great outdoors.
