Plaid Pants in Spring
Raise your hand if you have an item in your closet that you want to wear year round, regardless of the weather. For me, these plaid skinnies is THAT item. I grabbed these during a Cabi party for last fall’s lineup. I was completely apprehensive about them at first, but the fit was perfect and the stretch made them super comfortable, so I went all in. During last fall and winter I wore them with whites and gray tones for a crisp winter vibe, but for spring I wanted something a bit bolder…
Inspiration struck in the form of a brilliant magenta-colored J.Crew cotton tee. Hanging in my closet, the tee looked 1) comfortable and 2) bold. And when I realized I had shoes that matched the top? It was a done deal.
Remixing my wardrobe has always been a bit of a challenge for me; I’m not sure why. However, when I do find that perfect new way to mix an outfit, it’s always a great feeling!

Wow!!! Those are bright! Are those the jelly-like ones or leather? have you tried the jelly-sandal material type ones?
Bright for sure, I should have told you to put sunglasses on, haha. I’ve never tried the jelly sandal type but I’d love to. These ones are the new Tory Burch Minnie travel flats. They are super comfy right out of the box. They have a cushion type sole and soft leather uppers. These Chicory blue ones are patent leather. On the brightness scale these are right up there with my pink patent or my yellow leather Tory’s. Did I show you these before?
I also have 15 pairs of this new TB Minnie style. I’ll have to show you my collection 🙂

Hot pink! How awesome. You are going to make them look stunning. A good friend of mine asked me to buy him a pair of Tieks during my last visit to Arizona. He asked me to model them for him. I think they look better on him but it was nice to try them on. I’ll get a pair sooner or later. Can’t wait to see your new Tieks.

Oh Kate I’ve seen pictures of your fuchsia Tieks in other posts and love them. I almost bought the exact same ones but at the last second ordered the pop pink Tieks. Oh my goodness I envy your Tieks collection!!! Those blush pink ones are gorgeous! I still have just three pairs, the black, hot pink, and leopard.
The pair between the pop pink and lilac are actually lavender. But ballerina pink (blush pink) are very high on my wish list.

I’ve seen lots of pictures and posts about Rothys but have never tried them. Seems like they have a few different styles, such as slip-on sneakers, loafers, round toed flats and pointy toed flats. The pointy toed flats look really cute but I don’t think pointy toed flats are a good look for me, haha.
