3 Must-Eats in Port Townsend
February 12, 2014
This past January, Jon and I went on a bit of a stay-cation to Port Townsend. When I travel, besides shopping my way through a new place, I really like to eat my way through it as well. I love getting to experience new eats that I’m not able to get at home. Seeing as just about a month has passed sincw the trip, and I’m really craving some creme brulee right about now, here are our three favorite spots to eat at in Port Townsend:
- Owl Spirit Cafe: When we first arrived in Port Townsend, we hit up the adorable Owl Spirit Cafe on Polk Street. The cafe is warm and cozy and is decorated with, you guessed it, owls! The food was incredible and is locally sourced. Just look at these yummy desserts – orange caramel creme brulee and chocolate pot de creme. If you happen to be going there, I’ll take one of each to go please!
- The Courtyard Cafe: Basically they have a sandwich sprinkled with powdered sugar. I’m going to let that sink in for a little bit. A sandwich, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Is it lunch or dessert? I opted to call it lunch and, as expected, it was delicious! And if you don’t believe me, I’ve included a picture of the Twisted Cristo Sandwich below, served with powedered sugar and raspberry chipotle sauce! Pretty much everything here is amazing – ginormous cups of hot cocoa, amazing breakfasts, and pastries galore!
- Addie Mae’s Southern Kitchen: Our last dinner in Port Townsend was at Addie Mae’s where we enjoyed some of the most amazing sweet potato fries and brisket. The restaurant is fairly new to the Port Townsend area but overall was very good!
